School Improvement Team (SIT) & School Improvement Plan

Our School Improvement Team meets monthly to review our School Improvement Plan goals and any information that impacts overall school improvement toward meeting our goals. SIT meetings are open meetings. School Improvement Plans are required by the state of North Carolina. The Davidson County Board of Education reviews and approves School Improvement Plans.

Personnel and student concerns are not discussed at SIT meetings. Personnel concerns should be directed to administration. Student concerns are directed to the student’s teacher, our school counselor, or to administration.

School Improvement Team Representatives

SIT representatives are approved by vote in August. SIT representatives are responsible for contributing to meeting discussions in a positive and productive manner. SIT representatives review our goals and our goal progress, share information with the group they represent, work on tasks that support our goals, and serve as a voice and advocate for overall school improvement.

SIT meetings are scheduled from 2:45-4:00 in our school’s media center. SIT meeting dates are included on our staff iCal.
