My name is Alicia Leonard. The 2016-2017 school year will be my first full year as the teacher for deaf and hard of hearing students at Friendship Elementary after beginning my time here in November of 2015. In addition, I serve other deaf and hard of hearing students itinerantly.
In 2005, I graduated from Ledford Senior High School. I continued my education at Lenoir Rhyne University, in Hickory, NC, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Deaf Education PreK-12. For the next six years, I worked in Danville Public Schools as a teacher for the Deaf/interpreter. During that time I attended Danville Community college and earned a Career Studies Certificate in Educational Interpreting.
I am happy to be living in the Wallburg area again and am excited to be working at Friendship Elementary. If you need to contact me, my information is listed below. I am available to conference by appointment.
