Dear Friendship Elementary Community,

Welcome to a new school year at Friendship Elementary! I am excited to begin my third year as Principal and look forward to another year of learning, growth, and partnership with our amazing students, families, and staff.

Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of getting to know our school community and witnessing firsthand what makes Friendship Elementary such a special place. Our students continue to inspire us with their curiosity and resilience, our families provide unwavering support, and our dedicated staff works tirelessly to create meaningful learning experiences each day. I am incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished together and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

My journey in education began with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from East Carolina University. I later earned a Master's degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro through the PPEERS Program, which prepared me to lead schools with a focus on student achievement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to serve students in a variety of roles. I spent four years teaching 4th and 5th grade in Guilford County before teaching 8th Grade English Language Arts at North Davidson Middle School for four years. I then served as a Principal Intern at Reeds Elementary and as Assistant Principal at Oak Grove Middle School before joining the Friendship Elementary family as Principal.

As we begin this school year, my commitment remains the same: ensuring that every child feels safe, valued, challenged, and supported each day they walk through our doors. We will continue to focus on providing high-quality instruction, fostering positive relationships, and creating opportunities for every student to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I firmly believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success, and I encourage families to stay connected and involved throughout the year.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day. It is truly a privilege to serve the Friendship Elementary community, and I look forward to another wonderful year filled with learning, laughter, and celebration.
