Grading Scale

In second grade, we continue to follow the grading scale from Kindergarten and 1st grade as follows:

3- Student is consistently demonstrating the skill (80-100% of the time)
2- Student is inconsistently demonstrating the skill (60-79% of the time)
1- Student is not meeting expectations and intervention is needed. (<60% of the time)

Student progress reports and report cards will follow the scale above with students receiving a score of 3,2, or 1 in each area.

Students in Second grade may come home with more numerical grades on their papers than in previous years.  This is done in an effort to help students and parents prepare for Third grade. In Third grade, students will have grades A-F on their progress reports and report cards.
